From ancient times the inhabitants of Zlarin have been known as capable coral and spounge divers, even today there is a small coral workshop which treats that increasingly infrequent material, that sea ornament. Anthony Maglica is their fellow-townsman, and he became famous in the U.S.A. for having improved an ordinary flashlight torch and for having created a world famous product - Maglite.
